I'm headed to Germany next week for a conference, but that's not the cool part. My sister will be attending, too! A big part of why I decided to go overseas was that my job would be loosely related to my sister's and I was hoping we'd have more occasion to spend time together.
In this case, it will be us, sans children! Sans spouse! We have not spent a weekend alone together in more than a decade!
Of course, I am presenting at the conference, so this weekend it will be nose to the grindstone in preparation....

It was awesome! Well attended and received! Germany was only so-so. I didn't really like Frankfurt at all - are all Germans so grumpy?
pretty much yeah. although frankfurt is actually one of the less interesting places with the meaner germans..
i'm looking forward to leaving these grumps behind!
